The Queensland Murray Darling Committee (QMDC) provides support to Landcare Queensland through in-kind operational support and most importantly the provision of a ‘home away from home’ and support network for our organisation and its staff, based in the QMDC Toowoomba office.
QMDC, like other regional natural resource management bodies in Queensland strongly supports the landcare and community natural resource management network in Queensland through the provision of landcare coordinator funding, technical advice, community support and access to funding for on-ground projects.
QMDC’s activities are guided by the Regional Natural Resource Management Plan, a guide to implementing programs that: · improve the health of the region’s soil and water resources; · improve the health of the rivers, wetland and floodplains; · protect native plants and animals; · protect cultural heritage; and · reduce the threat of weeds and pest animals. |
