Small Grants for Landcare Groups
Elders and Landcare Australia are keen to help out landcare groups with a small amount of cash ($300) to organise a local event involving their local Elders branch - for example: a field day, workshop, social gathering or community event.

Q150 Community Funding
Queensland’s 150th Celebrations in 2009 will commemorate Queensland’s independence from New South Wales as a colony. The Queensland Government has committed $4 million to the Q150 Community Funding Program. Not-for-profit incorporated community organisations, local councils and tertiary institutions throughout Queensland are eligible to apply for grants of between $2,000 and $10,000.  For more information see http://www.q150.qld.gov.au/celebrate/funding.shtm    Round 2 applications closed April 2008.  Round 3 applications open 30 June


Community Coastcare Grants
Community Coastcare is an element of the Australian Government’s $2.25 billion Caring for our Country initiative providing grants to help local communities better protect our precious coastal environment.  Small grants up to $25,000 as well as large scale grants up to $250,000 are available.  See www.nrm.gov.au for application details.

Small Grants for Small Rural Communities
A small grants program for small rural Australian communities; will offer grants to benefit people in rural and remote communities.  More information available at www.frrr.org.au

Community Awareness Grants

Funding between $5,000 and $10,000 is available through QLD Department of Natural Resources and Water for activities which raise awareness of natural resource issues and their importance.  Available to Landcare, Bushcare, Coastcare, Waterwatch and other community NRM groups to develop small innovative and creative projects.  For further info see www.nrw.qld.gov.au

Community Water Grants
The recent round of Community Water Grants funding has closed, however, additional funding of $200 million has been announced to extend the program for a further four years until 2012 - 2013.  See www.communitywatergrants.gov.au    
Round four will open in the first half of 2008 – date TBA
